The first National Beach Sports Stadium in the
country could be built on Skegness Beach, subject to planning permission. The facility, the second major announcement for
Skegness inside a week, would be home to all internationals for England Beach
Soccer, national tournaments and local league games, as well as a training
venue. The arena could be a game-changer for both the town and the region,
bringing jobs, new revenue, and brilliant events to Skegness.

Kicks Off in Skegness
May 25th Bank Holiday Weekend.
Beach Promotions Ltd are pleased to announce the dates of the forthcoming National Tour, With England National Beach Soccer Team Hosting the Opening Event.
CEO Gary Shepherd said “It’s only right that we start the
tournament here in Skegness as this is where we hope to make England’s National
Team home and where the National Stadium is being built. We’ve had great support from local
people and we hope that all of the Lincolnshire Teams consider entering the
tournament. The aim of our tour is to bring beach soccer to grass roots level
and to increase awareness of the sport.”
David Jones England Team Manager said “The England Team will be touring Nationally and will be involved with all of the events, at each tournament the winners will have the chance to play against the England Team in an exhibition match. It’s also an opportunity for local players to showcase their talent and there will certainly be scouts looking for potential England players throughout the tour.”
The weekend promises to be an exciting event with a total party atmosphere. There will be beach activities throughout the weekend with a Beach Party on Sunday Night with Bar-B-Que, live music, fashion show and much more!! Beach promotions Ltd will be talking to local businesses to provide entertainment and services for both of the weekend events.
The tour then heads off with tournaments arranged in Portsmouth, Poole, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Swansea, Cardiff, London, Liverpool, Canterbury & Bridlington. Some further locations still to be announced. At each location a full tournament will be held for all regional teams with the winner’s receiving winner’s medals and a cup and the losing finalist runners up medals. However the real prize for both the winner’s and the runners up is that they will both qualify for the national finals, which will include all the other venues winners and runners up teams. This will be a Champions 4 day (potential 11 games) tournament the weekend of September 7th & 8th.
The team that is crowned national champions of England will not only receive the Champions Cup but also play in a charity match against the England Beach Soccer national side in a brand new stadium in front of 2,000 plus spectators on September 8th. In addition to this they will win the opportunity of representing England next year in the Euro Winners Cup 2014 - this year being held in May in Italy!
